About Me

I share this information just to let you know I am a real person! My name is Steven Long and I have lived in New Bern, North Carolina for over 20 years. I took up woodworking during the Covid pandemic to keep from going crazy while stuck at home. As fellow craftsmen will attest, I quickly became "addicted" after my first project. I started with a $50.00 used mitre saw and a few hand tools, and have grown to a fully equipped woodworking shop pretty quickly. I do not claim to be a "master" craftsman, there are such folks, and they are amazing! But so far I have had pretty good success at the projects I have attempted. I expect this to remain my lifelong hobby, if not a second business, as retirement is not too far down the road...
